In Isaiah 59:1,
2 we read, “Behold, Jehovah’s hand is not shortened that it cannot save,
neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have
separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from
you, so that He will not hear.”
In Romans
3:23 we read, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23 tells us, “ For the wages of sin is death.” In spite of our sins
we read in 2 Peter 3:9 that “the Lord is not wishing that any should
perish…” John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have
eternal life.” God demonstrated that He has the greatest love that we have
ever known.
In Isaiah
45:21 we read “and there is no God else beside me, a just God and a Savior;
there is none beside me.” We read in 1 John 4:14 that God’s love moved Him
to do this, ‘…the Father hath sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”
Acts 4:12 records Peter saying by the Holy Spirit, “And in none other is
there salvation: for neither is there any other name under heaven that is
given among men, wherein we must be saved.” Even though we sin God continues
to love us, and through Christ He wants to save us. What a wonderful God He
is! He deserves our faith.
