Jehovah God is
eternal. Isaiah 40:28 reads, “…the everlasting God Jehovah, the creator of
the ends of the earth…” In Exodus 3:14, God says He is the ‘I Am” from the
root word for Jehovah. God is continuous.
In addition
to the above, God is:
All Powerful.
God spoke and the heavens and earth, and all things on earth came in to
existence (Genesis 1). That power is attributed to God throughout the Bible.
Read Isaiah 41:4, Acts 17:24, 25 and 1 Peter 4:19. In Genesis 1 God created
everything by His word. God also upholds all things by the word of His power
(Hebrews 1:3).
All Wise. Man
can never learn all of God’s understanding (Isaiah 40:28). He knows all that
has ever been. He knows all that is now. He knows all that ever will be. And
God does not change (Malachi 3:6).
Present
Everywhere. “Where shall I go from thy spirit? Or flee from thy presence? If
I go up into heaven Thou art there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, Thou
are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost
parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand find me, and thy right hand
shall hold me.” (Psalms 139:7-10) We can never escape the observation of
God! And He knows our hearts (Acts 1:24).
This God has
revealed Himself to us in His son, Jesus Christ (John 14:8,9).
